Mission
LAEYC is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to
improving the quality of care and education of young children.
lAEYCserves and acts on behalf of the needs and rights of young
children, with primary focus on support and provision of
resources to early childhood professionals, advocacy, public
awareness, and coordination of activities with other agencies and
organization committed to young children~and their families.
LAEYC members represent a wide cross-section of individuals who
are interested in young children. Within this group are parents,
teachers, administrators, and representatives of public and
private schools, child care centers, churches, family child care
homes, universities, and public agencies. It is an association for
all person who are committed to improving the quality and
availability of services for children from birth through age eight.
